I have a size 11, wide foot and find most sport, training and walking shoes do not fit my foot comfortably. I work for the Postal Service and am on my feet most of the day walking over various hard surfaces (floors, walkways, asphalt, concrete, etc.). Some of the job is outside and these shoes have survived (and performed well) over surfaces covered with snow, rain and ice. I have not had the problems mentioned by other reviewers.
I have had the current pair (623v3) since March of 2016. In size 11, 2E the shoes fit well and have not show any signs of wear and tear or damage from the elements. Have seen a lot of miles (thousands?) in this pair and expect to see the same performance from the next pair.
I replace my walking shoes once per year, or sooner if my legs and feet feel the strain, because shoes are similar to tires and the treads tend to wear down with a lot of use. This New Balance model's tread seem to wear down slower than others I've tried.
